Funders: get only the MCA files that fit your box
Funders: share your buy box, receive only matching files.
Afterfirst sends MCA funders files that already fit what they buy. You give the desk your buy box once: positions, dollar range, industries, states, paper grade and stacking rules. We read each file against it and send only the ones that match, with the statements read and the stack laid out.

What does a funder get from the Afterfirst network?
A funder gets pre-read files, one contact per file, and nothing outside its box. Each file is checked against the rules you gave us. So declines for a plain misfit, such as the wrong state, the wrong industry or too many positions, should drop away.
| What you get | What it means |
|---|---|
| Files sorted by your rules | A file outside your positions, range, industries or states is not sent. |
| A written read of the statements | Monthly deposits, deposit count, negative days and each repeat debit we find. |
| The stack in one table | Each funder ahead of you, its pull and how often, and our guess at what is left. |
| One named contact per file | Stips, questions and counters go through one thread. |
| Broker notice | If a partner broker sent the file, you see that on page one. |
How does a file reach a funder?
A file reaches you in four steps: intake, read, match and send. Nothing goes out before the read is done.
- Intake. A merchant applies once at /apply/, or a partner broker sends the file. Either way, we collect the same fields.
- Read. The desk reads the bank statements and the stack, then writes a short summary.
- Match. We check the summary against every funder box on file. Only funders whose box the file fits make the short list.
- Send. The file goes to the short list with the summary on top. If you make an offer, it goes back to the merchant next to any others, side by side.
What goes in the buy box?
The buy box is the set of rules you fund by. Send these fields by email through the contact page. The tables below list each field and what it controls.
Positions and dollar range
| Field | How you answer | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Positions you write | Tick boxes: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or later, consolidation, reverse consolidation, renewal or add-on | Pick all that apply. |
| Smallest advance | Dollar amount | The least you will fund. |
| Largest advance | Dollar amount | The most you will fund in one deal. |
| Monthly deposit floor | Dollar amount | Based on the last three or four statements. |
| Time in business | Months | Use the number your team uses. |
| Owner credit score floor | Number, optional | Leave it blank if you have no floor. |
Stacking rules
Brokers most often guess wrong on stacking. So the box asks about it in detail, not as one yes or no.
Positions allowed ahead of yours
One field asks for the most open positions you will fund behind. A tick box asks whether a position that is close to paid off counts toward that limit. A second field asks for the highest total daily or weekly pull, as a share of deposits, that you will fund behind.
Payoff rules
Two questions close the stacking block. The first asks if part of your advance must pay off a current position at funding. The second asks if your contract has an anti-stacking clause that the merchant must hear about before signing.
Industries, states and paper grade
| Field | How you answer | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Industries you fund | Pick from the industry list, plus free text | The same list is used across the site. |
| Industries you will not fund | Pick from the list, plus free text | Used to block files. |
| States | All states, all but a list, or only a list | State rules are handled apart from this. This field is your appetite. |
| Paper grade you buy | Tick boxes: A, B, C, D, as you define them | A short text box asks what each grade means to you. |
| Usual time from full file to funding | 1 to 2 business days, 3 to 5, or longer | Used to route files only. It is never shown to merchants as a promise. |
Contact and file format
| Field | How you answer | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Company legal name | Text | As it will appear on the agreement. |
| Contact for new files | Name, role, email, phone | Where new files go. |
| Backup contact | Name, email | For stips that sit, or a payoff figure in dispute. |
| File format you want | Email, portal, or API | We ask for API details later. |
| Documents you need with a file | List: application, statements, month to date, IDs, voided check, landlord or tax items | So we send full files the first time. |
Send your buy box
The desk reads the box and replies by email. Offers to merchants stay subject to each funder's underwriting.
The funder network opens soon
This form is not open yet. To send your buy box today, email info@afterfirstmca.com. A person reads every email.
What will the desk not do with your box?
The desk will not share your box, send you files that break it, or change your offer terms. Your box stays between you and the desk. A hard rule in it always blocks a file. If a merchant asks why a funder was not on the short list, we say the file did not fit. We do not describe that funder's rules.
What agreement covers the work?
A written funder agreement will set out how files are sent, broker notice, pay and data handling. No file is sent under this program until that agreement is signed.
Some states also set what funders must disclose with an offer. New York's list is in Financial Services Law section 803. This page does not say how it applies to any funder.
Questions funders ask
Does the desk put its own money into deals?
No. Afterfirst does not buy receivables or put money into any deal. It reads files and places them with funders in the network. Every offer comes from a funder's own underwriting.
What does it cost a funder to join the network?
Any fee or pay will be set in the funder agreement. No cost is stated here, and no file is sent before that agreement is signed.
How is merchant credit handled before a file reaches you?
The desk's summary covers the bank statements and the stack. Each funder runs its own process, so tell the merchant how any credit review works before they sign.
When will a matched file arrive after a merchant applies?
There is no set time. A file goes out once the read is done and the documents are complete. The funding time in your box is used to route files only.
Will you send files that already carry several positions?
Only if your box allows it. The stacking fields set the most open positions you will fund behind and the pull you will accept. Files over either limit are not sent.
Can a funder change its buy box after joining?
Yes. Send the change by email, and the desk updates the box before the next file is matched.
