Afterfirst MCA Trust and Privacy FAQ

Trust and privacy: your data, how we're paid, and the rules.

Your file goes only to the funders whose programs fit, and only after we've talked with you. Bank statements go through a secure upload, never by email. Applying is free, and you never pay us a fee. The funder pays us a commission only when your deal funds, and the amount is in your offer paperwork before you sign.

Matching answers appear below as you type. Use the down arrow to move through them.

Trust, privacy and rules

How your data is handled, how we're paid, and how to check who you're dealing with.

How is my data handled?

You upload bank statements as PDFs over an encrypted connection after you apply. They're stored encrypted, and only our team can open them. Your file goes only to the funders whose programs fit, after we've talked with you. We don't sell personal information, and our privacy policy lists what we collect and who sees it.

How does Afterfirst get paid?

Applying is free, and you never pay us a fee. The funder pays us a commission only when your deal funds, and the amount is in your offer paperwork before you sign. We don't charge you for the call, the review or the offers, and there's nothing to pay if you turn every offer down.

Do you favor funders that pay you more?

No. You see every offer side by side and you pick, including the choice to turn them all down. The commission each funder pays us is in its offer paperwork, so you see it before you sign. If you want to know why we pointed out one offer over another, just ask us and we'll walk through it.

How do I check that an MCA broker is legit?

Look for a real business address and phone number, a clear answer on how they're paid, and no fee before funding. A legit broker reads your statements before talking about amounts, shows offers in writing and never pressures you to sign on the spot. Search the company name with the words complaints and lawsuit, and check your state's registration rules.

How do I spot an MCA scam?

Walk away from anyone who asks for a fee before funding, promises approval without seeing your statements, asks for your bank login by email, or pushes you to sign on the spot. Check that the funder's name on the contract matches who you've been talking to. When in doubt, call us or your state's financial regulator.

How do I raise a concern about a funder?

Tell us at info@afterfirstmca.com or call 877-FUND-654, and we'll look into it. You can also contact your state's financial regulator or attorney general, or file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Keep copies of the contract, emails and bank statements that show the problem, since you'll need them.

Can I ask you to delete my file?

Yes. Email info@afterfirstmca.com or call 877-FUND-654, and there's no charge. Our privacy policy explains what we delete and what the law may require us to keep longer. Files already sent to a funder are held under that funder's own policy, so contact the funder as well if your file went out.
