Merchant Cash Advance APR Calculator
Enter what you receive, the total payback and the payment schedule to get an estimated APR. It turns a factor rate into a yearly rate so you can compare an advance with a loan or a card. It assumes payments run on schedule. If reconciliation lowers your payments, the real term gets longer and the APR goes down.

How the math works
The tool finds the rate per payment period at which the present value of all your payments equals the cash you received, then multiplies by the number of periods in a year: 260 for five debits a week, 52 for weekly. That's the same idea as the unit-period method in the federal APR rules for loans. State disclosure forms may use their own method, so their estimate can differ.

A worked example
$40,000 received, $52,000 payback, $400 each business day. That's 130 payments over 26 weeks. The estimated APR comes out at about 109%. The same payback spread over a year, at $200 a day, shows about 55%. Compare with factor rate vs APR.

When to use it
- Comparing an advance with a loan, a line of credit or a card.
- Checking the estimated APR on a state disclosure form.
- Seeing how a shorter term changes the yearly cost.
An APR on an advance is an estimate, because the real term depends on your sales. Use it to compare offers, not as a promise of what you'll pay.
